Does anyone think the one about the control group if I said 'filter paper with just water to compare to show that only lipids had an effect on courtship' would be correct?
i put that aswell, not too sure if it is right.

ur probably right, i put the base sequence changes which might form a intron which doesn't code for a amino acid will i get the marks?
That's right it can't be deletion because that leads to frame shift and more then one amino acid will change depending on where deletion was. This question asked said only one amino acid changed. So your correct

Does anyone think that if I put the control as 'filter paper with just water to show that the courtship behaviour is only affected by lipids on skin' would get me the two marks

Also do you reckon 1 mark in the second part of the 1st question is the centromere holds the two sister chromatids together as I put that and the fact that spindle fibres attach to centromere in metaphase and help move chromosomes to equator of the cell

Is a phylogenetic group a way of ordering organisms into groups that all share a particular common ancestor?

Also, did anyone else get 343 as the percentage increase?

Well that's unit 4 stuff and we are not expected to know that so from our knowledge it could be plausible for a deletion of 3 bases as 1 triplet codes for an amino acid. But I also put the last 3 bases could change so that it becomes a stop code as opposed to an actual amino acid

This page is just making me feel even more worse than I already did in the exam. The first page was great, looked around at my classmates and everyone was like "this is good!" then it just got progressively worse. Snakes and Amish people? WHAT THE F***?! Poor AQA, poor.

For the control in the snake, what did people put:
Filter paper with just water or...
Filter paper with male lipids on it

I put the latter...any marks you think?

Ideally, they should give a range.
If not, you shout get AT LEAST 1 mark for the working.
