I have eaten well this week Sea bass on tuesday and steak with mushroom sauce on wednesday neight of which I had to cook. Then I made pork meatballs with a tomato sauce and spaghetti on thurday and curry on friday. Yesterday was home made burgers. I don't have the stamina to do a roast today though...

    I like cooking
That's really impressive! I love cooking as well but just don't have the energy (or money) for it these days.

Normally I'd make Irish beef stew for my boyfriend coming home from his army training but I think tonight he'll have to make do with some chicken fajitas

I want to be RAMC but according to the website if I apply now I wouldn't even be guaranteed getting an F1 job

    Fajitas are nice though.

I am funny with stew, I only let people I trust cook it for me...too much can be hidden in a stew...

Yeh I was thinking of going down that route but I'm asthmatic and you need to be asymptomatic for four years before they consider you, so another three years then

Ever consider just doing your F1 job through the NHS then joining the RAMC? Is that even possible? (Sorry I'm a bit ignorant about all this stuff, Glasgow likes to only let you know stuff at the last possible moment, most often the night before )

    Beef
    bacon
    onions
    parsnips
    Garlic
    Carrots
    Red wine
    Beef stock

Simple as that! Served with crusty bread and butter. Love your paranoia though!

Ah well basically if you don't join as a student you generally have to then join as a specialist e.g. registrar in something. You'll still get the golden hello (£50k) but yeah means you gotta wait and will be older when you're doing basic training lol.

Damnit shouldn't have been so lazy about it when I was in OTC

I imagine you fit in rather well at Imperial. Sea bass I ask you... did you round it off with some brandy and a couple of Cuba's finest?

I know, I wish I knew more clearly what my career path was rather than 'uh I suppose the NHS, sure they'll work it out for me??'

Golden hello sounds pretty sweet though...

    Actual lol.

Although that said - I may or may not be in enemy territory right now.

I'm enjoying the Imperial library :ninja:

Well tbh if I do what I really want to do - it's not even available in the army as they don't tend to do many transplants But then I'd do trauma type stuff instead...
we'll see, blatantly end up an endocrinologist and nothing I've planned :p:

At least you have an idea what you want to do, some days I'm not convinced I want to do medicine at all! I applied for an intercalated degree in cardiovascular studies, I don't know whether that'll light the cardio fire under me or extinguish it...

Worse case scenario is that we all end up dermatologists

We had a histologist that said all they did was describe what they see in Latin and then put cream on it :p:

Oooh, transplant vs trauma. That's my dilemma... If you want the latter, GTFO the UK and move to the US.
