I seriously do not understand this stereotype. There are plenty of LSE students who are willing to drink a pint of beer - sometimes even two pints of beer - every now and again over the weekend. There are even some to be found hanging near the fringes of the dance floors in London's loudest night clubs. I met an LSE student once and we were able to uphold our conversation for a solid four minutes before it descended into awkward silence; an impressive record if I don't say so myself. So there really is nothing to worry about when it comes to the social scene at LSE. As long as you actively involve yourself in social gatherings, you're guaranteed to find some business acquaintances that will last you until the end of your professional career.
Obviously you're not an LSE student and reading between the lines you're not impressed. I've been following the LSE thread from the beginning and almost everyone is wanting to socialise and make friends. Judging by this I think it will be a fantastic year😃Keep your doom and gloom comments to yourself.

I applied for Economics BSc as well and still haven't heard from LSE yet I also got rejected from Oxford E&M St Peters as well haha, congrats with ur offer tho!
thanks bro! Don't worry about Oxford, I called them to find out as much as I could about my application. This year set some records in terms of competitiveness, particularly for E&M!

Don't fret, be patient and happy that they haven't rejected you. No news is good news at the moment. I appreciate how **** it feels to wait though.

If you don't hear by today I reckon you should ring them. I understand my situation and the long wait as I applied on 15th Jan, but if you applied in oct/nov time that is taking the piss abit.

Hi, why do you have to wait for the reply from LSE for that, you can withdraw that choice as well right?
I need to keep one as my insurance choice

Not a good idea. A guy in the year above did that for another university (not a competitive one - he held offers from much higher ranked ones and just wanted to get all his decisions back) and even offered to help them with the paperwork. He got rejected the next day.

Yeah exactly, only reason people should ring up LSE is if they haven't heard after 31 March and submitted before the 15th Jan. Lol that guy sounds like a tool

To be frank, i don't think we're going to hear back until March :/ i wouldn't wait on a reply today or tomorrow. They're probably assessing their next batch. I've been waiting since October

Nah he's absolutely brilliant just lazy, and most people know that about him so he used to at least have an elated ego.
