Depends on the girl.

If shes hot enough to pull of the casual so be it, but if shes a bit of a horse then glam that s*** up please.

Casual girls. Glammed up girls put toooo much effort into it and end up looking worse than they would naturally

If anyone has the number for the girl in the "Open University" add at the top of the forums, pass it on.

I like girls like her. Sort of smart casual.

A bit hippie, but nice with it.

Tbh, depends on the context. In general, I'd like a girl just to be casual and do their own thing.

Personally, I don't find girls with loads of make up attractive. Especially ones who use fake tan/tanning salons.

Personally, I prefer girls with little or no make-up. Dunno if I'm alone with this. :P

Is gorgeous imo. One of my best friends and pretty much never wears makeup. She just doesn't need to. Casual and unkempt look FTW!!

What if 'herself' involves being "dolled up" and liking to put effort in her appearance?
Then shes not the type of girl i would personally go for. A girl who is always cautious how she looks if she scared to break a 'finger nail' than saving someone's from a hanging cliff perhaps. Hence my definition of 'barbied up'. Always care for herself and how she looks that it comes to the obsession that when people age, she'll even put more effort into appearance by covering up using more make up or perhaps going through cosmetic surgeries. That, my friend is going beyond putting effort in her appearance.

I like a girl who is casual, and i love a girls personality more than their looks because at the end of the day, everyone loses their appearance somepoint by aging or accidents.

Probably won't be your best friend for long if she doesn't approve her photo being on the internet :P

Hey guys, do you actually like it when girls wear short skirts/tight clothes/ clothes that are somewhat revealing and big high heels etc or do you rather when girls dress more casual in less fitted clothes and baseball boots and stuff like that? Just wandering generally...
I've moved this to Fashion and Beauty, as it doesn't belong in General Discussion.

Haha no she loves it, that one's from Facebook anyway and I've got a pretty open profile so it's not a big deal

My god, I think casual is so much better
So the general opinion is more towards casual? It doesnt really surprise me to be honest as I really feel that girls are always dressing to impress other girls. Anyway I prefer looking casual and I generally dont wear makeup at all during the day, I would only wear it when I am going out at night. I think girls feel they need to wear a load of makeup to give them a confidence boost but really I think there is nothing worse than a pile of makeup on a girls face, and evidently so do guys.

There's a difference between making an effort and looking like a prostitute

Thing is, all the guys say they want casual blah blah, but if they realised how many girls do wear makeup they probably wouldn't be so certain..makeups not supposed to look caked on, and if you've done it like that then you've done it wrong :indiff:

In terms of makeup, I much prefer none than plastered. Even if you look a lot worse it means you are confident in how you look and aren't trying to be something you're not.

In terms of clothes, skimpy is not good, i would much rather a nice dress, that suits your figure well (whatever that may be) than a miniskirt and a tight top. leaving certain things up to the imagination also = good :P

Glammed up - but both have their time and place. I don't find girls with no style hot.

Our personality/attitude changes according to our appearance as well though, doesn't it? If I'm going out and I am aware that I look good, I'll have the confidence to socialise more, dance, loosen up etc.

My whole world doesn't revolve around beauty and I've actually never met a single girl who's obsessed with her physical appearance either. I therefore find your 'description' of barbied up girls slightly Hollywoodish. But yes, you're right; anyone who takes such excessive pride in their appearance have lost grip of reality and their lives.
