Adam Uren who refers to Peterborough as a 'backwater' on Twitter and goes by the nick 'Sexclock' on Bebo? What is someone like him doing selectively reporting on the goings on in Peterborough, a place he clearly resents? There are so many uninvited immigrants in Peterborough I can't see why he doesn't think it is vibrant as hell.

80% of the genuine English people in Peterborough are sick and tired of mass immigration and about the same number support the EDL, and they are happy to go to a different panto if it opposes the ethnic displacement of the ancient English population of Peterborough, even if this Adam Uren character isn't..
Piss off, you don't speak for any of us who live in Peterborough.

Why don't you take a break from making up statistics and go do something useful with your time like going for a walk. No one wants the English League of ********s to march through Peterborough, and they'll rightfully be opposed by those of us that live here.

The EDL are against Islamification...I don't see what's wrong with that viewpoint, it's our country after all. Trouble is they're just let down by the hooligans and the constant battering from Left-wing media. I'll say it again, live in Peterborough or the vast majority of Cities in the Midlands and you'll soon realise they're onto something.
I live in a City in the Midlands and they're on to nothing.

I'd rather get rid of every single member of the EDL and see them shipped off to the middle of nowhere than immigrants. Not all immigrants come over here and feed off our benefits system - most of them make a positive contribution to society, working as doctors, lawyers.. and even doing the jobs that some white people think they're too good for, like cleaning toilets for a living.

If people want to come over to our country and work, then let them - it is indigenous British people who have never worked a day in their life and think they have a God given right to benefits who piss me off, as well as the chavvy idiotic members of the EDL who are just spoiling for a fight every time they go out, and have no real clue as to what they're really fighting for.

Yes radical Islam needs to be prevented in this country, but getting rid of immigrants is not the answer. I like living and working in such a multicultural area.

I am a teacher, and I have 1 white child in my class out of a class of 28. I don't despise multiculturalism, I embrace it and I love working in such a diverse area and celebrating all different views and beliefs.

In that case I'm sure they will have no issue with predominantly Catholic Poles residing in Peterborough then?

I live in London - where a much higher proportion of the population is Islamic compared to in the 'Cities in the Midlands'.

Yet how come they aren't 'onto something' in London as much? Strange, huh?
Well congratulations on seeing the positives, but please I urge you to watch the BBC Documentary on Peterborough...it really is sickening.

There are huge problems with the Poles because a lot of them do not understand basic laws in the city (fly-tipping, bin-collection, brothels etc) which results in areas looking like slums. They also over-crowd houses and mess them up reducing the value of particular areas in the city. Be blind to the facts if you must, but I'm sure Peterborough would be a safer place without the excess influx of immigrants here. To say there is no violence here is ridiculous, there are incidents every day.

Don't get me wrong, I despise the lazy benefit munchers who seemed to multiply under the Labour government as they're just as guilty of making my city a dump. I don't mind migration, it's the uncontrollable amount that does my head in as we just don't have the funding to compensate for the strains they put on education and other services (one school here needs about 10 different translators for one class!). If they work that's fine, but that doesn't excuse them treating the place like a tip - it's not a coincidence that the areas in the City with the most migrants have the highest crime rates and visual pollution.

Brand me as a racist if you will, but I'm purely venting my anger out due to the decline in my City. The vast majority would agree with me, maybe not on here as students seem to always be pro-left. That always seems to change when they go into the real world though.

You can't honestly tell me you're happy with the amount of immigrants in the city?! The City's becoming a dump and everyone can see it! The way EDL do things is extreme but I can sort of sympathise with their message...why should I feel like a minority in my own country??

For goodness sake shall I call you a waaambulance, you sound like a petulant teen.

I honestly don't have problems with so called immigrants in the city, I have friends who are Polish and went to school with and am friends with Asians, my neighbour is from Morocco and is an awesome person. I don't give a crap about where they're from because funnily enough they're still decent people.

Perhaps if you left your dingy bedroom and actually socialised with other people you wouldn't have a problem with them.

Just because you're friends with a few doesn't mean that excessive migration to one place is healthy. I'm friends with a few but that still doesn't subtract from the fact places like West Town and Millfield are complete dumps these days.

Maybe its YOU who needs to get out and about and see where the problems are as you seem to be deluding yourself.

The EDL are just a bunch of right-wing thugs, the kind that used to engage in soccer violence until it got squeezed out of the game. And you're deluded if you think the media are 'left-wing'. With the possible exception of the 'establishment' BBC (not the same as left-wing at all) all the major media sources in TV and newspapers are ideologically right-wing, they're just not so right-wing as to embrace Nazi-saluting soccer thugs trying to bait muslims.

Watch a video on Youtube called 'The Poles are coming', BBC Documentary. From this you will see that migration to my City has much more negatives than positives. It's so annoying seeing people support Multiculturalism when they've probably lived in a nice, pretty Southwest town or something where they haven't had to experience the problem. Look throughout history, forced mixture of cultures always ends in racial tension or violence.

As I said, try living here and then be SO opposed to the EDL.
Most of the negatives are similar across the country, ie. pricing out more expensive labour (ie. british workers) for cheaper and more efficient labour. Its not really an effect of multiculturalism more than it is an effect of globalization and acess to free european markets. The alternative is to hire more expensive and less efficient british workers, seeing british firms losing money and going to the ****s. Theres a reason why businessmen are wary of immigration restrictions.

Secondly, the EDL claims to be a reactionary force against extremist islam, which makes me wonder why you brought polish people up ? Surely that is in the realm of the BNP or UKIP ?
