    Sport is a great way to improve mental wellbeing and meet friends. I recommend (if you can tolerate sports) that you join your College's sports teams/clubs, especially team in team sports.

    If you aren't sporty then still persist at going to societies and going to social occassions, or at least being around people. I'm not really a party person myself, I'm quite an introvert actually and its taken me a few years to truly settle here (at school) with a true group of friends.
