Unfortunately, yes. Most take out hefty private loans and then (hopefully) pay it off. That's why studying in the UK, for a lot of us, is a much better, cheaper option. Cheaper in terms of tuition, not in quality, quite the opposite, actually. The lack of general ed in the UK makes me smile.(Original post by alexs2602)
It's so expensive to learn in America. Why do so many people even bother? I mean seriously, you could buy a house with the money you spend on a degree with that.
It just doesnt make sense to spend all that money. Not even a guarantee it'll be worth it in the end through increased earning potential.
