    The closest thing that the UK has to a national religion is the NHS. I think public opinion -across all sections of society- is so strongly in favour of the the NHS, governments only abolish it at their peril.

    I agree with some aspects of laws essay in the Orange Book, so I will reread (and examine this bill more closely) before I vote.

    In some ways I agree with this. It would be political suicide for us to abolish the NHS. It needs reformation, not abolishment.
