Mine usually consisted of her profusely apologising for some slight I never noticed and me trying to shut her up.

Comment back in a form of a role play for example:

Me: Hunny what are you doing today?
    Boyfriend: Nothing, you?
Me: Let's go to the cinema!
Boyfriend: Do we have to? --- **then the argument begins**
Would he argue with a mate if he said that?
    No?

Then get rid of him as he clearly has no respect for you.

We never really argued, but since living together there are definite snipes every now and then about money and the lack thereof. Fun stuff, no?

me: *rings boyfriend* babe, where are you?
bf: i'm on my way, sorry I got distracted and went to FRIEND's house on the way to play FIFA/red dead
me: thanks for calling me to tell me - you were supposed to be here three hours ago!
    bf: sorry!
me: *hangs up, gets angry and ignores bf*
bf: *arrives, give me a kiss and looks sad with puppy dog eyes*
me: ohh you're just too cute! what would you like me to make you for dinner?

    I'm such a pushover.
We've only ever had about two really serious arguments in three years, the rest of the time they are just petty disagreements.

Though he does piss me off when he won't hold my hand in public.
have you asked him why he doesn't hold your hand in public? that's actually sad my ex used to do that. then i left him.

We have gotten in a few 'heated debates' but they usually just end with kissy time and no hard feelings

Sometimes it's just pointless bickering that neither of us take seriously. If we're in the kitchen trying to cook I shout at him quite alot and he yelled at me once for nearly flicking hot goose fat at him, but that got cleared up pretty quick.

Anything genuinely serious we seem to manage to actually just talk about it most of the time, works out pretty well!

When I was in a relationship it usually started with little things and then evolved into him becoming very defensive, trying to take the moral high ground.

    It was pretty frustrating.

me : "Phil can you change Jason's nappy please whilst I'm getting dinner ready"

*cue me going into the kitchen to make dinner*

me *coming out of the kitchen half way through dinner* : "why haven't you changed his nappy?"

    Phil : "what?"

me : "I asked you to change Jason's nappy before I went into the kitchen!"

    Phil : "oh I didn't hear you"

me : "well that's just typical, you are always ignoring everything I say. Besides it's not like you can't see that he needs it changing! Can't you use some initiative, even if you DIDN'T hear me, and change it yourself?"

Phil : "alright alright I'll change it"

me *goes back into kitchen to make dinner*

me *puts dinner on the table*

    me : "Dinner's ready"

*Phil says nothing, still on computer*

    me : "DINNER'S READY"

    Phil : "yeh okay"

me : "oh my God have you still not changed Jason's nappy?"

Phil : "I'll do it now"

me : "Fine then, I guess you don't want any dinner"

Phil : "I'll have it in a minute"

*Phil still stays on computer, not moving*

me : "Jason wants his dinner! Why aren't you changing him?"

this could really go on and on and on and on so I'll stop there. You get the idea.

We also argue a LOT about him spending too much money on stuff he doesn't need - like transformers, or computer games, when we're short on money.
