    Einaudi :awesome:

I can't listen to anything with lyrics when studying as it's too distracting for me but I don't like there not being any music on. So Einaudi's a happy compromise

I find anything withour lyrics tends to be good. I usually end up using Last.fm and "Classical Chillout" or something of that sort.

Instrumental music is definitely the way to go, no lyrics to distract you.

I usually stick on some Deadmau5 because the repetitiveness means I can get lost in it and in turn get lost in my work too. It's really nice to listen to while working, and the constant beat means I work solidly instead of giving up every so often. I really recommend Brazil.

Brian Eno's Music For... series is perfect for this, because it is ambient in the truest form of the word. Eno designed the albums to played in an Airport, for example, to drift seemlessly through the air and sooth the passengers minds...

    ah.

You may not even realise it playing eventually. Which perhaps is the point - and considering you should be concentrating on studying, and not the music you're listening to whilst studying, that can only be a good thing.

    ...unless you are studying music?
