If your dad had sung 'Achy Breaky Heart' you'd probably do the same.

She's suppose to be a role model. When you were little didn't you want to be like someone famous?
She isn't a role model no celebrity is. She played a character in a kids tv show, so is she meant to stay all squeaky clean because of one job. Yes you might have wanted to be like someone famous when you were little, but I'm sure you wanted the attention and fame not want to drink and smoke like them. This falls into the same BS as saying music/films/video games cause violence and all that crap. People can make their own choices and parents shouldn't judge Miley Cyrus's actions when their the ones basically having the tv babysit for them.

If celebrities like Miley Cyrus are a kid's role model, they're already screwed.

    This thread's already happened anyway...

Has anyone realised that this is more than likely from her scene in her new movie LOL in which she - shock horror - smokes a bong?

She's American though, and therefore it's frowned upon to be caught drinking at the age of 17 even if it is in another country, it's a bad role model to her fans.

Well, she's been caught out and had the truth revealed now so it's her own fault.
I am not sure what type of role model you expect her to be. This is the girl who pole danced in the middle of the Teen Choice Awards.

Surely, isn't there a life after Disney? Even though of course she is supposed to be a role model of some sorts, it's only a matter of years before she evolves into something that may be to the contrary to what most kids expect.

Go and tell the rest of society that. God! I'm actually quite offended by that, so what if a 7 year old wants to be like a celeb, doesn't mean their mums neglecting them, ffs.

If her audience is kids/young people then she shouldn't be seen drinking, or with a cigarette in her mouth or being caught with a bong basically as it sets a bad example to young people.

her character was aimed at kids, it doesn't mean she has cant live her own life because she once played a part in a tv show aimed at kids.
