Me and my last boyfriend were good friends for 3 years, then started dating.
Had an awesome 18 months together, then we broke up because neither of us had time for a relationship.
We're now best friends and closer than we were before Plus i don't have to deal with his mother now.
Things have turned out pretty perfect.

I dated my best friend for a year and we ended up splitting because we had eventually stopped becoming a couple and had become best friends again. I won't say it doesn't work though - we were incredibly close and a lot of personal stuff happened to him during our relationship which I think did affect "us" in certain ways. Plus I was really happy during the time we were together. But it didn't stick in our case, which is fine as we're still best friends

This really worries me. I've met a guy at uni and we've both liked each other from the start. I had a mental moment last week and told him, he feels the same but we're both scared that if something happens between us and we split up we'll lose each other.
So yes, seeing how it's going to go. I like this one too much to give up on him!
