I do 10-15 hours of revision per week. I'm obviously going to do a bit more than 15 hours per week over the Christmas holidays to make sure that I am fully prepared for the January exams.

School finished at 4pm and I worked from then until 11:30 every day with 20-30 minutes for dinner, so thats 7 hours a day and about 15 hours over a weekend so 50 a week> the school year lasts for about 30 weeks so in 1500 hours but realistically I would imagine its was about 100 hours or so below this when thaking into account of all the distractions and then obviously you dont work as hard in Sept, Oct or Feb. This does not take into account of study periods and classes in school. It may seem shocking to some but to anyone doing AS who would like 4As or more its whats realistically needed. My work ethic came from my GCSE art teacher and to anyone who thinks this is a soft subject shup because it took about 4 hours a day on top of managing other subjects, it gave me the habit of settling down and concerntrating. It got me 100% and showed that if you work for something youll get it easy. i think that its around GCSE time that you have to develop a great work ethic and realise that socialising is for weekends, no time can be wasted on jobs and procrastination will get you less than you deserve. But of course a balance needs to be maintained and sport or music or just friends makes life so much easier.

The work sounds terrible but a good set of AS results means that to a certain extent you can put your feet up at A2 as long as you dont care about A* grades because I only need on average 55%(D) in all of my future modules to get an As overall. Some people I know dont turn up to class or revise at all and manage to get good grades like Bs.

    edit
not everyone will need to do as much as I have its just that I find things very very difficult at first and in a subject like physics I struggled for a while (still do) and I know that in terms of natural intelligence I have very little.

God my life is sad and boring lol
