HoC Member of the Year: Drogue
    Best Debater: Adorno
Best Bill: Free Oral for the elderly (you didn't say I can't nominate my own bill!)
Best Newcomer: Me. But as I'm not allowed - SimonT
    Biggest Drinker: ;D

Are we allowed to nominate more than one person for each thing? I think Melancholy deserves a nomination for best debater as well but if I can only do one it will be Adorno as his input was more frequent and directly relevant perhaps.
Adorno has one anyway, so I'll put down Melancholy for Best Debater also. I was about to say that I was sure Simon had been around over a year, but then I checked his join date. It's weird how quickly people become part of the furniture!

I know I haven't popped in for a couple of months, but I thought I'd nominate a few things I've loved this year (though my nomination for debater have already been nominated):

Member of the Year: Thunder & Jazz. Always comes to meets, was Speaker, debated well, generally an all round positive force.
Best Bill: This is a hard call, as I loved the B233 Poverty Abolution Bill (started in 09, but passed in 2010, and was too late for last years awards) and the B266 Secularism Bill, but my nomination and favourite of the year, for both the debate and the bill, has to be B258 Legal Responses to Strike Action Bill. Yes, I realise I was leading the party proposing it at the time, but we got a great left-right debate that actually argued the issue and its effects. And I loathe striking with such a passion :o:
Best Newcomer: I think simontinsley will win, but I want to nominate iwilson03, as while he hasn't been around a while, he made a huge impact very quickly in both the Centre and then leading the Socialists. Before he disappeared
Biggest Drinker: paddy_power. Mainly for the meet. And the spam :p:

It was him that got me involved in the house, and then when I did he just dissapeared after I had talked to him everyday for weeks in another thread. Was so strange :dontknow:

Iwilson03 isn't really a newcomer, he was already nominated and came second for last year's award - sorry to be a party pooper!

Member of the year: Anony mouse; been around forever it seems, and only seems to make valid contributions rather than get involved in any of the less valid side of things!
Best bill: I'm going to second Drogue here and nominate B258
Best Newcomer: SiTi, easy one I think
Biggest drinker: L i b, sorry paddy but I reckon he'd drink you under the table! (also, this shouldn't be a one horse race!)

We should have a spoof version of the TSR awards much like the various spoofs of various awards ceremonies.

      Speaker's award for awesomeness
      Wednesday Bass

I chose Wednesday Bass, though he isn't one of the most prominent members here, he's always posting in debates, has an excellent voting record and is an all round friendly and decent member. Plus he does some CompSci which falls into the awesome category for me!

      Congratulations to all the winners!
