"In this study, the combination of whey and casein protein promoted the greatest increases in fat-free mass after 10 weeks of heavy resistance training"
Correct, in this study it does show that. But what the study fails to show is that 40g of whey and 8g of casein is better than the equivalent of the same amount of whey (48g), as they didn't examine this.

It doesn't show that the combination of whey and casein produces more muscle mass than the same equivalent of whey, and therefore, from this study, there is no evidence that casein (and therefore milk) has any benefit.

Sorry but I never back down from anything

At worst, milk makes no difference to the digestion of the whey. So now OP knows he can continue using it PWO.

RANT: bike cables STILL need to be delivered, still injured and the only exercise option (swimming) does not happen due to pool closure.

    ffs I live in a **** hole.

Arm and knee getting less painful and can make a fist without too much pain, at this rate will be healed next Monday.

Diet for past week basically three healthy meals in the day with water throughout, no protein supplements, but getting mentally wound up from not doing anything that gets my heart going.

In that situation, I tend to do tabata burpees or something, just to get the heart going(not as a cyclist, but I can't handle inactivity for too long).
I suppose if your arm is having trouble, might not be worth it, but there must be some nearby land for some sprints, say?

Just got my bike from the shop (hadn't had it for this week and the weekend of last).

Fixed the right hood and front mech. Can finally get some bike time on!

Knee completely fine, right arm is bearable for riding shouldn't cause any trouble. Hopefully the last week and bits of (didn't realise that everywhere is closed during the End of December/start of January) before are the only set backs.
