Neither, I want to spend my adulthood lolling around drunk and scrounging from society.

Family every time. Family is for life. Any job can sack you tomorrow and won't give a damn.

I'm female and I am more career orientated rather than being more family orientated.
I've tried the family aspect of life and it just didn't work for me.

Family 100%, my Mum gave up work to look after me and my brother and I am so grateful for that and I would do exactly the same. A career isn't that important to me, but my family is

Career, easy. I mean I love my parents, but they've never been the most supportive people in the world. The rest of my family, I barely see, and I don't particularly like either. I have big ambitions, and my family have never really encouraged me to pursue anything, I would have little problem with moving abroad in the name of a career, and the life I always wanted.

Kids, siblings, parents, aunts, uncles, grandparents, cousins are not going to put food on my table. None of them will help me live in a nice house and not worry about bills. What comfort are family members if everyday 9-5 you go to do a job you hate and or pays little. So for me, when push comes to shove it has to be the career over the family.

    Career.

I'm not that connected with the majority of my family, and I have a small family anyway.

I'm a girl and I chose family. I'm getting a degree so that I will be able to provide a better life for my family.. I will be happier knowing that I wouldn't have to go through years more of education; I know that I will be able to get a job (well, "know" as much as anyone else does anyway).

    Family, most definately.

It's a part of our human nature, it's natural and yeah... I don't think I'd ever choose anything over having a family

    Hmm tough one.

Right now i'd say career simply cause i've been workin' my butt off to get to uni and once i'm there i'll have to study for 5/6 years to then get a job as a doctor. If I didn't get a good career after all that, i'd be really bummed!

But I suppose that view may change as I get older.

Originally I would've said career without a doubt as I spent 13 months in Germany working and being without my family which was fine for me. Since I've come back though I'm wondering whether I'd rather not take the job I've been offered so I can stay here with my mum. In terms of starting my own family, I can't see that ever happening cos it's not really in my interests so I'd probably say career.
