    suggest that you buy the household stuff and then split the cost with them. that way you can control it!

    Also after a while you can let them buy the household stuff aswel but atleast you will know what the price range should be

    Lol, are they cleaning the toilet with Chanel No5 or something? £30 should be more then enough to cover cleaning stuff for a few months. I'd personally ask what on earth are they buying to require so much money? Either they're buying insanely over priced cleaning goods or they're trying to take advantage of you to get a nice little bit of spending money for themselves.

      We used to have a sheet of paper on the wall in the kitchen with column for each of our names, everytime something for the house was bought it went on there with the cost. I think we sorted it out at the end of each semester since we'd each spent around the same anyway.
