They should run a hitler angle like

"Hitler did christmas" that would make people think!
    Hitler also did breathing.

Islam4UK/al-Muhajiroun are just publicity-whores who depend for their existence on BBC and other media interviews. This is probably incompatible with their doing anything that is actually threatening, so they probably belong in the same 'ignore' bin as the Westboro Baptist Church.
There are those who would include the ummah channel and other islamic tv channels in the same group as the two you've mentioned..... they allow their station as a platform for extremist preachers of the type to spread their vile views..... (offcom had to stamp down and give them a warning)

    STDs, rape, drugs, abortions?

    On Christmas?!

I really can't imagine anyone who would eat an enormous Christmas dinner, along with half a bottle of wine, and then have the energy to go out and rape someone.

But of course imagine if someone put up such a ridiculous poster about Eid. It's only racism if it's done by whites apparently (not that Christianity or Islam are races).

Needs more rhythm: "On the first day of Christmas, my true love gave to me / A Herpes STD!"

They shouldn't be ripped down for humor value (and free speech in general). But think of what could've happened if the posters had been more genuinely offensive. The backlash (and additional votes for the BNP) could've been much, much worse.

They seem analogous to the Daily Mail and the BNP. Neither of those are really responsible for things like extremist nationalist or white supremacist terrorist cells, though they might sometimes bear a family resemblance.

Evidence seems to be that Islamist terrorists are radicalised by personal interaction with other extremists, or by accessing extremist literature which is shared online. The official channels seems to have very little to do with it.

Of course it's difficult to be sure, but there really doesn't seem to be much threat from these organisations, given that we live in a world where the most extreme literatures can be accessed by anyone with an internet connection.

Yes I agree that the internet is a primary source of media used by individuals of an extremist jihadi mindset...

Channels like ummah tv are regulated by offcom so had to be checked for spouting violent extremist jihadi views.... There is no regulation of this kind of the internet..... The channel rightly apologised and promised not to allow certain kinds of preachers on thier channel again.... offcom did their job well.
