Nah, I'll be online for the majority of the day. Christmas isn't a huge deal as it's just me/my sister + her boyfriend/my mum. Will still be interacting with people to an extent as I'll be sat in the lounge

I don't tend to go online really until much later in the night, like 10/11pm when the family have gone home and I've had a bath and am snuggled up in bed

I won't be using it when my grandparents come to visit, but when it's just me, my parents and my brother, my brother will be on his xbox and my parents will be asleep. So I'll go on my laptop.

I want to see what bargains I can find :holmes:
Good idea, ebay should be empty and if somebody outbids me i'll send them a message mocking them being on the internet on christmas day

lol, good topic. As I got older I spent more and more of Christmas Day on the computer, until it was just like any other day (i.e. 90% of my time at the computer). There's really not much else to do.

These days I spend Christmas alone and will be on the computer alllll day

I go on it in the afternoon when food has been eaten and presents have been opened and my dad is on the ps3 and my brother is reading and my mum either on her laptop or reading..

we all sit in the same room so we count it as "family time"

We do Christmas in two lumps - morning present opening finished by about 1030 hours, then nothing until about 1500 hours (during which time we all go on the computer), then grandmother arrives with more presents and we eat. She leaves at about 1900 hours, then we watch television and do any other normal evening activities.

Don't have much of a family.

In your household, is using the computer a no-go zone on Christmas day?
um, no. why would it be?

No not at all. I'm allowed to do what I like. I go on for like 10 mins to check emails, fb, etc while my Gran prepares Christmas dinner. And then I come off. Usually don't go back on until like 8 at night when we are just sat watching the soaps or whatever. But I could easily go without if I wanted to

Probably not until late afternoon/evening when everyone is too tired to care

    Internet or computer?
There's almost always an argument every christmas so I'll likely escape by playing a PC or PS2 game, and will use th'internet if mum doesn't turn the router off.

It's not so much 'not allowed' as there isn't an appropriate time to do it because we're always socialising., although I'm getting a laptop so will probably set it up at some point.

There's normally a little downtime between present opening/breakfast and guests arriving, so I'll probably quickly check my emails/facebook... and maybe see if anyone has quoted me.

Then its 12 straight hours of eating, drinking and party games. No tv. no computers. What a blessed relief.
