Wiley, Durrty Goodz, D Double E.

You're obviously gonna disagree. That's opinion for you!

Wiley WAS decent. Never heard of durty goodz, and double E, meh.

Devlin, Kano, JME are some of my fav grime artists.

    You heard Akala's recent stuff?

I'd say it's nowhere near his best work. Production-wise it's not bad, but it lacks lyrically and most people agree that his older albums are better.
    This.

the thing with Jay Z is it's hard to pinpoint one album that defines him - reasonable doubt, the blueprint, and the black album are all masterpieces IMO, start with any one of them

outkast - best place to start is Stankonia, then go and check out the stuff before it, cos it's all awesome

Wiley WAS incredible. Now he's decent when he wants to be, it's just that that's rare.

Kano hasn't done grime for years, JME made one good mixtape about 5 years ago, and if you think d double e is meh then you obviously haven't listened to him properly. As for never having heard of durrty goodz, you obviously just aren't that clued up on the scene tbh. Akala is always pretty popular with people who like UK hip hop and don't know much about grime.

    No offence.

Soz, can't listen to durty goodz atm as I'm listening to the college dropout.

And your right, Im not that clued up on the scene but that's got nothing to do with how good or bad an artist is.

Please pass judgement on Devlin and Chippy

Well none of chippy's tunes did it for me, but those freestyles on logan sama and westwood with Ice Kid etc were sick, so was that battle with griminal.

Devlin was f64 king, spits like his life is on the line and his tunes are a bit hit and miss though.

For all those suggesting Illmatic, I'd have to disagree and say Stillmatic destroyed it lyrically.
