Actually, the evidence shows that such people are much more likely to be second- or third- generation. Presumably because they want to try and reconnect with a culture that they have little direct experience of, and so may see extremism as more "authentic".
Really? I'm only speaking anecdotally. I'd imagine it's a reaction of a minority against other more secular and liberal British Muslims, who I suppose in their view are not "real Muslims".

I 'm happy... I'm the absolute opposite from nationalistic... I'd vote the transformation of Europe from continent to country, with each country turning into a state.

I don't believe in countries' boarders making any difference as to whether or not people should be allowed to live there... it doesn't really make any sense to me.

It's geographical and colour-based discrimination (okay maybe that's a bit too far).

I really can't see the problem, that the media and most people are implying.
In theory, we shouldn't have borders but they are long established now and we need them. If we didn't have border control millions of immigrants from poor countries would flood in, the majority of whom would have little skills or trade to offer. We wouldn't have enough housing. We wouldn't have enough services to support them. Our economy would not cope. It would be unfair to the immigrants and also compromise our quality of life.

If the Muslim population continues to grow at this rate it will be economically unsustainable for the country. The population of the country and Europe in general needs to decrease tbh- this would result in a better quality of life for everyone.

Do you study statistics as part of your course? I'm not going to make any value judgements, but it's clear that the Muslim population is growing much more rapidly than the general population, whether we think that's good, bad or are simply indifferent. The British Muslim population grew by approx. 74% in the last decade. The British population as a whole grew by around 5% during the same period. Do you see the idiocy in your comment now?
No, my point is there's nothing wrong with the Muslim population growing, respecting people's beliefs etc.

    Longsight :sadnod:

My mum works in a place called Surestart in Longsight and says that these whole minibuses turn up outside full of Asians or Romanians (like 8 kids etc.) and they just go "Benefits, benefits!". The majority can't talk english well so my mum has had to learn basic Urdu to understand them...

This is a true point, however I don't believe it has anything to do with religion, as a lot of these people are Hindi and Sikh. It's kind of grouping people really, many Muslims and other religions such as buddhists, Jews have people that are helping this country.

    Typical Torygraph.
This country is not that socially liberal, and wouldn't be as socially liberal if it were up to our Christian churches to make the laws.

Why do people always assume Muslims want to inflict their values on us? I think our dear state church has inflicted more of it's values on me than other religions.

That isn't a comment about the level of population of a country being good or bad though. I don't think that a decreased population would be a good thing, we're nowhere near carrying capacity, we're using 3% of Earth's habitable land, and larger populations allow for greater specialisation, larger markets and thus us being more productive (producing more stuff with the same effort), and thus better off.

No, the comment is one about the incompatibility of the free movement of people (immigration) and robbing some to pay for others (the welfare state).

...until Muslim values that oppose human rights become a mainstream stance...

And the population of the country stands at about 65m so, TBH, I don't think its a big worry.

Islamisation is a dangerous trend. Not good. It's worse than I thought. The Muslim population could grow exponentially.

Since when have Muslims grown from being 1.65m high to 2.87m high?

They are the same height as British people the majority of them, maybe slightly taller.

      Talk about exaggerating height statistics.
