is everyone writing notes on things from chemical ideas? At the moment I'm doing ES and it seems pointless learning all about the "Lowest point on Earth" etc!!
The chemical ideas book is so bad, I haven't even touched it.

The is the best chemistry revision guide ever:

I havnt even touched chemical ideas book... i dont think its even relavent except for the developing fuels module probably..
You mean storylines? How can you not use ideas? It has all the chemical explainations for the course! I still use it and I'm at uni :p:
When I did Salters I never ever used storylines (I self taught A2 for a year) and I got a B. Just used Ideas. I only used it for DF really for AS, and a little bit for the atmosphere.

      aha yup! silly mistake
What grades/marks you get for the f332 and f331 exams btw?
lol i just use the cgp revision guide to revise...i never use the chemical ideas book, black & white doesnt really seem appealing to me :P and there's just too much info and excess stuff in ci!
How comes you still use it for uni what course do you do?

I got B's in them (though it was on old spec for me, I had a gap year but the spec didn't actually change that much)
Not appealing but it's very informative and easy to understand. Which is why I still use it due to how much info is in there.

I'm doing Forensic Chemistry, and I'm 1st year so a lot of it atm is A level chem. The revision guides are good but you need some exam practise. I recall Salters liking a certain answer to certain questions including a certain amount of points. I found many mark schemes being rather ridiculous in what they mark for and what they don't
