No, not you personally. I have just seen several people, both in real life and on here, who have BPs we really wouldn't get worried about but who keep measuring and measuring it and getting more and more stressed out, which makes things unpleasant both for patient and doctor.Hehe, hell, I know about all the self-diagnosing medically-needy people. Stuff like that really is left to the professionals, so is its interpretation. However, I'm not one of those people that's a sit-at-home doctor, whiling away hours taking my pulse and playing with my BMs.(Original post by Cybele)
My GP also said people shouldn't own home BP monitors and such unless there's a need to keep a check of it. My BP is usually low anyway!
The reason I was putting my BP in here is because I work in a hospital and found this thread on my break Please don't hate me :'(

I'm really phobic of blood pressure tests so I never get a normal reading... back in the day when I could deal with them it was always lowish, but now whenever they try it's some ridiculously sky-high reading because I'm stressing out so much. Such a stupid phobia.

I'm in hospital at the moment so I get my blood pressure taken every 3 hours or so, and it always seems fine. Diastolic is always a bit low but systolic is nearly always in the 'normal range'. Can vary though depending on what I feel like. Last reading was 112/64 which is okay
