Gomes is not a top level keeper, he just makes too many mistakes.

you're definitely gonna turn it back on, haha

and thank **** for that. we definitely deserved a goal there... missed a fair few chances. spurs are scary as though... sandro's a brilliant player, and harsh of redknapp to criticise him.

we need to take more of our chances instead of panicking and scuffing them. Essien is slowing the game down like crazy. He's started to dwell on the ball a bit too long. ergh.

FFS, how crucial will that "goal" prove to champions league places, the trophy and fantasy football.

That was hilarious.

It was over the line imo, most of the ball was. Not sure what the rule is on that though.

That said, you can't blame the linesman, he gets 1 look at it that lasts for a split second and has to make a big decision.

Either way, Gomez should never of let that happen.

All of the ball has to be over the line. If a couple of milimetres haven't gone over then it's not a goal. The was definitely a bit of the ball on the line so it was a mistake.

You can blame the linesman, he should never be making the decision from that position when it's so close.

You can also blame the people at the top not helping out with technology.

Whole ball has to cross the line, shouldn't have been given tbh but can hardly expect the linesman to be able to see it from that distance.

Realistically there's no way he could be in line with the last defender when the shot was taken and in line with the goal line when the ball crossed the line. Unless those decisions are never going to be given the linesmen need to make decisions from poor positions.

But with a decision as important as giving a goal i've always thought the benefit of the doubt should go to the defensive side. I'm not criticising his positioning but from where he was with the decision so close he shouldn't be giving it.
