I don't think so, actually, because it takes about one to two years just to get to Grade One in violin, especially if you are completely self teaching yourself and don't know what the notes are, what the scales are, or how to tune, etc. Unless you are talking about piano?


I've been playing the violin for a little over a year now, and I'm only just about to do my Grade One.

Also, it's hard to learn something brand new when your older. So I don't think Grade Eight violin would even be in reach until about 6 years from now or so.
