I'm surprised with the XC90, it's supposed to be fairly reliable - however like I said it's well old anyway...

To my mind I don't like the Cayenne, it just doesn't look right, so to me it depends on how much you want the country squire look, if you want it go for the Touareg, if not go for the Q7. Presumably the Touareg is cheaper meaning you could either save the money or get one with a few more toys if that floats your boat.
Volvo build quality suffered under Ford ownership. Hopefully it would improve with Geely ownership. A lot of the new electronics in the XC90 gave issues, as did the overall finish.

The pricing between the Touareg and Q7 surprisingly isn't all that far apart especially if there are extra options.

True, although the latest ones look OK:

(considering the old ones had old Landie style interiors)

Why does it have to be an SUV?? They're so ugly and offensive. You should get a nice Merc E Class or an Audi A8 or you could be really cheeky and get a Jag

They're offensive because they are normally driven by rich planks who think they own the road.

R35 mate R33/34, tbh I've never really liked them all that much. But the R35...... that's one bargain of a performance car that makes me wonder how on earth is Nissan making any money selling something so good for so cheap.

Mercedes S Class or Audi Q7. If you sacrifice the whiteboard, a 5 Series?

The R35 is one hell of a beast of a car and I love it, but there's just something more about the R34, for me.

The whiteboard is somewhat of a tools of the trade

Largely looking at the Q7 right now, but waiting on the fleet company to see if they would release the current Disco I'm driving at a better price.

It's not an uncommon stance, I know several people who have both the R34 and R35, almost without fail they love the R34 more than the R35 for sheer driving experience.
