Is a child's right to a mother more important than a gay couple's right to adopt?
The law already recognises the importance of a mother to a child. In any child-custody case, all other things being equal, a mother is given preference over a father. In my opinion that makes sense. Why should this not apply to adopted children?
Also I realise that a lesbian couple would provide the child with a mother (or two) and my opinion is that this is significantly better than letting a gay (male) couple adopt.
Is this right?
