Just watching IQ and seeing how much you get for a kidney. Would you sell one to live comfortably for like the next 15 years? or have an amazing time at uni? I think they go for about 50-70K[s]
I'd sell it to have a 50-girl orgy with the top 50 women in the sexiest women poll the Sun did

Really? If this is true, than good. These kind of things terrify the **** out of me!
Sure, it's a popular subject for the urban myth. There are only three cases where evidence has strongly indicated that it actually happened - one was in Kosovo, where there have been persistent allegations that the Kosovan government conspired with local gangsters to steal organs by killing Serb prisoners in 1999. There have been numerous accusations and counter-accusations and it reached the level of EU criminal investigation and is still going on.

The other two are that China and North Korea systematically took organs from prisoners in their labour camps and sold them internally and abroad, but mostly to Chinese private hospitals specialising in transplants for western patients. Both have denied it but there was enough evidence that a storm of protest arose from western medical bodies and China specifically banned the sale of organs, so there appears to have been something in it.

I don't think anyone would want mine at the moment. The amount of trouble they're giving me, I'd gladly give both of them away :unimpressed:

You'll need all your organs to survive that.

50 - 70K is **** all for a kidney. I dare say if you went into hospital for an operation and they accidentally removed one of your kidneys you would get far more than that in compensation.
:lolwut: That would be a very bizarre accident.

Tempting though for a billion; but I don't think I so. It's my kidney; you'll only get it once.
i reckon i would for a billion. Its a life-changing amount of money, and apparently people do pretty well with only one kidney.

I'd sell my kidney when prices are high then buy more when the kidney market crashes and become a full-time kidney dealer

No way, I read all about kidney donation in the Student BMJ a few weeks ago, and although the chances of becoming infected are very low, and chances of death even lower, there's still a CHANCE. Where's 50k, 500k, even 5000k going to get you when you're DEAD? I personally wouldn't take the risk I'd earn that money myself by actually working.

5000k should be enough to feed your family for a lifetime :P but on a serious note, for most people, selling your kidneys for the sole purpose of getting money is just out of the question. While it's true that some people can live with just one kidney, there's always the risk of your other kidney failing to function. What happens then? So.. unless I feel absolutely compelled to sell/donate one of my kidneys, I wouldn't do it.
