Well so far I've been:

1) Working twice a week (obviously you can't at the moment but keep looking?)
2) Running three times a week
3) Manicly cleaning my room
4) Random trips up to city/pub with mates
5) Watching random tv/movies
6) General uni research/fretting about results day etc

So far working well, summers awesome :P
ahh that's good, nice to hear you having fun.
thanks for telling me to keep looking, so close to giving up hope ( i don't understand why some people can't encourage and be nice about jobs)

Results day, i'm trying not to fret too much, just chill and take what comes

Lol, i've been alternating also, wii, tv, laptop, studying theory, working out.
Hard times. I see you lol come dine with me is getting boring now i've watched it soooo much
its either come dine with me or some awful show like homes under the hammer!
im also on cat sitting duties as my cat is ill and has a funky cone collar - what a poor cat he is (but still as bad as ever - he comes up onto the jigsaw and the collar acts as a snow plough!)

Well I was going to post a picture but its not working - so have the link instead

Yeh I mean when I say fret I really mean look forward to and try and work out different scenarios, as I've applied in the south of Ireland as well as through UCAs

It's so much easier to get a job through family/friend connections.

I mean I went around every shop in my town handing out cv's but that did s**t all

It was only when i heard of a vacancy from a friend who worked in a shop did I get a job
That's true!
I'll see if i can get 'hook ups' from my friend's and family
thanks

Do you train?

If not perhaps looking at improving yourself physically by setting goals.

Volunteer.

You usually need a reference, but a teacher would do.

It's rewarding and also gives you extra references and experience, so then it's easier to get a proper job.

Or ask your parents if they'll give you (extra?) pocket money for doing more stuff around the house. It doesn't have to be boring everyday chores, but perhaps painting a fence (ok that does get boring, but at least you probably don't do that all the time) or doing gardening or deocrating or DIY.

gah same. most of my friends are either working or on holiday and im so boooooreeed. i dunno if it's worth looking for a job either cause i (hopefully) leave for uni in september so i'd feel bad just taking a job for a couple of months, plus the only jobs i can find are either in really depressing places or full time/stressful, i just wanna clean tables in a cafe or something... i'm considering volunteering in a charity shop or something but then it'd cost loads in bus fare just to get there. DILEMMA. where are you going for uni?
