Gaming and laptop should never go together. Do you plan on using this outside of your room plugged in to a power source? Because it's going to awkward as hell to carry around and keep charged for more than 2 hours.

Funny guy.
Would you care to elaborate on that and carry on making a fool of yourself?

www.pcspecialist.co.uk is a site that I'd recommend. It has plenty of options for gaming laptops at different price ranges. Got a laptop from there around this time last year and haven't had any problems!

Depends.
What were you hinting at, initially?

Here's a question guys.
Assuming I purchased this:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B...=1&s=computers

Would it come with the regular Lenovo 1 year warranty? Since it says nothing about it unfortunately...

Well, I could get it from here with cashback too.
http://www.saveonlaptops.co.uk/Lenovo_Z580_1206320.html

The cashback is from Lenovo.
As long as I am purchasing the same product, all I have to do is send Lenovo the proof of purchase and they then send £50 to my bank account.

My parents don't want me to take it to Uni, simple.
I personally don't want to take it either:
a) It makes a lot of noise due to fans.
b) I would probably end up playing too much :P
c) It is very large and would take up a lot of space in my dorm.
d) Fans let out warm air, so it would make my dorm a boiler room.

Well, the seller on Amazon is Lenovo.
So i'd assume that it would come with regular Lenovo warranty. I'll have to ask around and see.

I just can't see a Razer Blade being entirely worthwhile. It's nice and all, but rather overpriced for the specs. For that sort of money, I'd like more than a 555m and 8gb RAM. Also, not too keen on the Switchblade UI...

Very true... If I was wealthy and didn't have to work to buy a Razor Blade I would buy one. However I eagerly await a MK II Razer Blade.....

I expect it to have a fully utilizable touch screen built in like of an Ipad quality to accompany Windows 8. Also an i7 and better ram + gpu would be great. Also I kinda like the switch blade UI. It looks cool. Aaand of course it has to maintain it's current size.
