Why not try researching the prices of salons before dismissing them as expensive? You might be suprised. You could always have a chat with the receptionist without actually booking.

And waxing doesn't hurt that much. It's, um, quite nice, in a way.
we haven't got any near where i am my place is like a retirement home area. i was talking to the nurse in school and she was shocked i shaved! lol she was like why don't i just let it grow and i'm thinking to myself...wtf?!

Eh, if you're careful, creams are fine. Painless, for one thing. You just end up sitting/standing in a weird position for 10 minutes or so to avoid smearing it anywhere sensitive by accident, lol.

pluckin!??!?!? ouch. Shaving's alright and it won't itch or go red if you moisturize after (use a really sensitive one though). I found in america a moisturizer especially for that purpose but over here I'd use a sensative Nivea cream.

to be honest, i dont think there exists a perfect solution to pube removal. i'd love it if no hair grew there at all- infact i'd just love a permanent 'hollywood look'...like a porn star! i dont think getting electrolosis or something down there would be the best plan though.....
so i have tried many a method in my quest.

shaving: i have tried every which way possible to make this a sucess, shaving with the grain reduces the rash and itchy regrowth and ingrown hairs, but it really doesn't get a smooth result- and who wants stubble! shaving against the grain is a night mare- looks great and feels smooth for about half an hour then turns into a big red mess, which after a a day is a stubbly big red mess.... i have tried moisturising and everything, doesn't help!! in addition, i never have the nerve to put my razor right 'down there' incase, god forbid....so i never manage to remove all the hair anyway!

waxing: i have had a few full brazillians, and they're amazing- for about 3 days. the first day you are just red and a bit sore, days 2-5 are great! but after that some hairs start coming through...it itches, it's spotty, ingrown hairs start appearing....then you have put up with this till they've all grown back long enough for your next wax....and a full proper brazillian/hollywood costs at least 30 quid.

hair removal cream: as said above you have to make sure it doesn't go on the sensitive bit, and buying special bikini line ones is all well and good- but i really dont think it works that well- i still think you get stubble after a day...and i honestly thihnk id prefer a bit of real hair to scratchy rough stubble!!! especially if you gonna get intimate with someone!.....imagine you get all hair free in the evening....you stay over at his, and by the morning you're giving him razor rash.....oh no!!!

plucking: takes ages, gets a good result, but makes you very very prone to spotty regrowth and bad ingrown hairs...even more so than waxing in my opinion.

i haven't tried any other methods....and i do have quite sensitive skin so my experiences might not apply to everyone- but to be honest i've totally persevered with this quest for a perfect solution and i've almost given up on the whole mission...i'm not sure it's worth the hassle, i'd rather just keep it nice and tidy!

....i just wish i could ask a porn star how they do it!!

Probably shave and then put make up on so it doesn't look red, thats my guess anyway

DEFINITELY WAX! Salon is too expensive. I tried warm wax strips but it was such a mess! The absolute best thing ever is nair warm wax where you don't need the material strips, it's so much easier i promise. It might seem quite expensive but it lasts for SUCH a long time so i promise it's worth it. You get a really huge pot of the wax. Plus with waxing it lasts ways longer. Ouch, shaving would kill down there!! Don't do it!!! X X X

I know you're saying about creams and how not to use them, but usually the itchyness and redness is caused by not moisturising properly after shaving. Same affect with your legs and so on really.

Just make sure not to leave it on for too long or it will **** up your skin permenantly.

That nair the one that dries on your skin and you peel it off?

Only ever used nads for waxing with the strips.
