Aptitude isnt the problem, its the eyesight. I know that my right eye is 6/3 (way above normal 6/6) but my left is 6/12 uncorrected but scrapes 6/6.

I've done some civvy version of the tests at OASC and scored really high in them so its not a concern. What is a concern is the 3 weeks assessment at RAF Newton...why so long?

You don't see the Navy driving tanks nor the RAF trying to sail boats. So I'd not recommend Army aviation as a career. It's a springboard for wannabe CGSs who like the idea of "flying a tank" for a couple of years; it's not a long term career option.

Plus, they let NCOs fly, and who wants that? :wink:
