Not likely young lady! For a start you would be clueless and secondly I wouldn't work for a woman anyway (except in the bedroom!)

Yacht design is basically a degree in physics and maths with a few pretty pictures. You spend loads of time calculating the stresses on certain mnaterials, doing aquadynamics and stability of marine vehicles.

I thought 3 years was not enough. Considering architercts take 7 years to do there degree. Also yacht design covers powerboats, sailing yachts and big ****ing tankers!

Good fun though. It's all part of my plan to get into the RAF sailing team!
I was goint to say I thought it'd include a lot of maths. A lot of trig in particular?

...That reminds me, I had best get my arse into gear and start revising; finals start a month today!

I've just managed to cut my finger - and it's bloody sore.

That sounds like a result then! I have no issue working with a bunch of chicks as long as they remember to look at the monitors and not get side tracked doing make-up and hair. Thats how planes crash!

Whilst the banter's great I do feel the need to stick up for the fairer sex. The reason ATC is a ladies branch (which it isn't really anymore) was because men were moved out of it during WWII as the feminine tone was a better conductor through static and enemy EW ops. Similarly FC is a womens branch as it was found that the men flapped more than the women when it came to the crunch - hence whay on the Battle of Britain it's all WAAF controllers. Check AP3003 ch7 if you're still sceptical.

My degree is actually quite relevent as i did Aerospace Engineering. I do get a lot of people asking why i didnt go for EngO, but ATC just looks so much better!

Stability's very relevant to aviation, and air's a fluid as much as water. Hence you lose your own contest
