Guess I can try ear-plugs, just damn uncomfortable and finding some. I like sleeping on my sides.
You can get some really soft comfy ones out of boots

So he gets angry even when sober? That sucks. To be honest, sometimes you can't win so you have to deal with it until you move out.

As someone has already suggested, earplugs?
Yeah he does, quick to anger and annoyance. He either becomes physically angry and starts banging stuff or becomes verbally abusive and mutters and swears about me.

    His way or no-way.

I'm going uni, London. A good distance away from my home and town, I hate it.

I don't speak to my mum, I said above she is a gambler addict so cut family ties, they both really do not get along.

I can't to him about his drinking, it's a topic that pisses him off quickly and turn him agaisnt me. He then uses the 'always about you, why can't I have some me time' argument.
To be honest, though I'm not in this situation, I will think for myself. It should be the best for you to contact some one from your family or outside, because it can affect your life. If your parents really love you, they would understand that this can have negative effects. If not, it's hard to cope with it but you should act like that, you'll do for yourself a favor and also for your parents finally or you will know that you've done the best thing possible

    Seriously? I feel fine.

I have no need to speak to family members, I rarely speak to my Auntie, Uncle and cousins, they are much more happy speaking to her husbands side of the family (my family are sort of outcasts really).

I don't speak to my mums side as I don't even speak their language and only spoken to them twice.

Occasionally speak to my nan and grandad but that's about it.
