    Depends on a few things for me. There's only one male in my generation of my family (my brother) and he doesn't have any intention right now of having kids. But I'd like to carry on my family name so if the circumstances are right (my husband has no problem with it etc) we'd keep mine, even if it is google suicide (I have a very common last name). If not I don't really mind, double barreling might be cool though.

    Islam. A woman can't change her surname to her husband's upon marriage.

    i'm not sure. but i think i will hyphen our names. i just consider my surname very unique and would rather keep it
