Myabe she isn't shy and aloof, maybe she does want a relationship, just not with you.

Well just talk to her then and get to know her as a friend first.

I don't see why you think she doesn't think herself attractive/deserving of being in a relationship though... and even if she does if you really like her you should support her as a friend rather than trying to get her to date you. :dontknow:

It's speculation, but you're right i'm flattering myself. It might be wishful because I like her so much.

I don't mean she doesn't/wouldn't find you attractive (I've only liked guys before after finding out they liked me first) but you might wanna get to know her a bit better before making a move. If you do end up getting together you'll have a better relationship if you were good friends first anyway.

yes, but we had a very beautiful first meeting, that was almost romantic, and now I can;t see her enough to talk. It's saddens me cos she's lovely.

Just talk to her every chance you see her (w/o being creepy). Definitely add her on FB if you can (or get her number if you don't have FB). She may cotton on that you like her without you actually saying so

No but I have been in a similar situation with a guy I liked at uni (hardly saw him at all after first year and we don't have many mutual friends). Anyway yeah just do what you can and if it doesn't work out with her try socialising in places you can meet more girls like her (might actually meet someone better - happened to me, the original guy turned out to be a bit of a prick)
