lol im doing c4 under edexcel but seriously I have never seen anything where you take 1(u^2+4) and involve it with tan, personally I dont know how to the question but my first thought would have been to use natural logs. Is this stuff not under my syllabus or something?

You could get something like this but they would help you by providing a substitution.

Good thing I dont do Further maths then because I dont have a clue, c4 is tough enough
