I wonder what race the attackers were? we clearly already know. Just like the girl stabbed to death in Birmingham

What does race have to do with anything. Why even bring it up. Evil is evil. Pigmentation of the skin is not a factor.

Just read this also - good to know Anonymous are taking an interest.

At least uncovering their identities will be a positive first step.
This is absolutely NOT a positive first step. Let's let justice take it's course instead of letting our emotions get int the way. Innocent until proven guilty does not become less important because a crime is severe it becomes FAR more important.

As much a case of missing white woman syndrome as this Daily Mail story is, the reality is incredibly disconcerting. She was traumatised at 15 and it haunted her for two years before she couldn't take any more and I find that part particularly harrowing. I can't imagine what her family must be going through.
Did you ignore the bit where there's no actual proof anything happened to her at all?

I'll take her word that she didn't kill herself for no reason...

Did you ignore the bit where she got bullied into suicide and a photo of the incident was circulated amounting to distribution of child porn? Even if we take the giant leap and assume it was consensual it's still a ****ed up case.

Did you miss the part where the Canadian police investigated the case for a year and didn't press charges? How incompetent do you think they are?

This wasn't even a case of not enough evidence to convict, it was not enough evidence to charge them with a crime.

    Pics or GTFO.

Without evidence you cannot punish anyone.

Tragic case, yes. But not as clear cut as one might expect.

It's pretty much confirmed that the photo exists. They couldn't press charges because they didn't know who took it.

The men should be sentenced to imprisonment - they have been identified, after all.

All the other students who wrote hate messages through Twitter, Facebook etc. (whom you can easily find) should have their named called out at school and receive some sort of punishment (expelled for a year etc.). They have harassed her over two years and have to be held responsible.

Lol you people can't be serious... You act as if you know she was raped. She never claimed it was rape until after the photos had circulated. Chances are she was gang banged and felt shame and couldn't take the bullying so claimed it was rape.

Sad story but I don't believe she was raped...

One problem with our society is that every woman who falsely claims she is raped is believed by everyone except the people who actually know the details of the case leading to "rapists always get away with it" stories like this.

    Wait,

So it's a giant leap to assume it's consensual despite the fact that there were no charges against the accused after a year long investigation, as well as there being a photo of the act. No it's not a leap, it's the norm in the justice system to presume innocent until proven guilty.

    This.

It's mind blowing how a woman just has to open her mouth and make an accusation and people are ready with pitchforks.

If a woman just merely accuses anyone of a crime, their privacy is invaded, their name tarnished and the presumption of innocence is all but thrown out of the window. The system has been set up to be logical, but once women become victims everyone rides on their emotions.

They should be sterilized, deprived of their ability to conceive children and then locked away somewhere where they can rape each other for the rest of their lifes.

By all means use the case of a teenage girl being bullied into suicide after a possible gang rape as an excuse to advance your MRA bull****. It really makes your cause look good.

No, this is not an MRA bull**** and I'm just saying what I have observed in this thread and on the news.

And yes it is true and you can see it yourself in the replies people are posting on here. Yes it is sad that a girl's life has been taken away, but again, we shouldn't use our emotions to come in way of the truth and logic.

Then how about applying a touch of delicacy and respect instead of storming in here like 'oh yeah totes mate she's probs just lying and felt ashamed, ****ing women am I right?'

I agree with most of your points, innocent until proven guilty and all that - but don't make this a gender issue when it's not - it's a crime issue.

Does the exact same thing not happen to people accused of paedophilia?

As for the point in question - reopen the case in light of new events, with a particular focus upon distribution of child pornography. If there's sufficient evidence to prove rape, then considering the circumstances, a lengthy jail sentence. If they were older, I would say life.
