Only in TSR, there is absolute control by the admins and mods, so their reign of beligerence and intolerance is unchallenged. Anyone who starts a movement will be silenced, anyone who questions will get warned.

Threads started by people questioning the logic and integrity of admins and mods usuaully close within minutes.
Its the most authoritarian, police state of a forum that I have ever been a member of. The mods take things way too seriously. I once got warned for writing a Latin quote, absolutely pathetic.

In the spirit of making this more interactive and fun, how does one execute a coup on TSR? Or at least attempt to impose an authoritarian government / absolute monarchy?

Please Let Your Imagination Go Wild!!!
    You can't.

One pays off the mods and we then declare the current TSR Government void due to a technical error in the GE, ban the PM and cabinet for some trumped up reason or another and then pass the reigns over power over to you :sneakydevil:

But in return you have to do our evil bidding for us, okay? But you still get to call yourself the TSR Prime Minister which is definitely what all the cool kids want to be :p:

Not that this has ever happened before, you understand
I don't trust you Mods. My friend Vinnie tried to do business with you once and now he's sleeping with the fishes.

Is that policy designed to keep Boris fans off the threads?

You cannot. It is run by PC, fascists who come under the banner of Anti-Fascism. Fascism is anything they do not agree with, or does not conform with social norms. Even if those social norms are unfair, biased and favouritable to certain beliefs over others. As it becomes more common, it breeds ignorance.

Any non-rational attempts to change the status quo shall employ force to accomplish its ends. Take over the TSR servers and the government will be yours.

There are only ever two means to power:
    1. Convincing people to give you power
    2. Taking people's power by force

Not that this has ever happened before, you understand
That explains the last TSR Government.

In all seriousness you find a petty reason from a relevant document or invent a lack of activity and VoNC them then convince the other parties to join your coalition - make your sure your mates are all in place as those parties leaders and then run a dictatorship to vote yourself in as Supreme Leader and Amend the constitution to say "No elections will be held ever again, the speaker is abolished and I am supreme leader of TSR." It is possible, however very difficult, to do.

In theory you just need to pass an enabling act so you'd need a brilliant election result, a number of proxies to actually vote and then a bet on the left not turning out to vote.

You'd be blocked by the Speaker on the grounds your act is a constitutional and guidance documental matter requiring an amendment to be tabled.

And when we VoNC the speaker? Bear in mind that in the 9th parliament we got 19 seats so theoretically a few proxies to get a full vote, the fact that the left typically has a lower turnout than the right (or at least has until last term while I've been here) and then it's quite plausible that we'd have theoretically had the votes to depose a speaker, pass an enabling act and only be stopped by the moderators.

It would never happen but still, i do dream of being named Emperor.

You know what's funny? We once joked about doing this as the TSR Socialist Party a long time ago. Essentially, we were going to post a bunch of 'Provisional Government' Threads, post in the 'real' Government thread declaring it dissolved, etc. I think it was going to be a Mayday publicity stunt...
    haha sounds like good fun

    1. Get a large majority government (enough to force through an amendment); either by installing patsies as the leaders of other parties, or somehow managing a genuine majority.
    2. VoNC the Speaker and Deputy Speaker, and install your patsies as their replacement.
    3. Amend the Constitution to declare yourself Supreme Emperor of TSR and give yourself power to force through legislation and amendments.

Job done. Of course, this is assuming the Mods turn a blind eye...
