What are your guys views and perceptions of working-class people
They are the most important people in any country. Without the working class, the rich won't be rich, and poor will suffer even more.
Think of them as the blood in your body. Without enough working-class people, your body will slowly succumb to different diseases, and in this case, whatever your country is suffering from.

My parents were never rich people. All my life, I never received allowance or salary that is adequate to the amount kids nowadays receive on a weekly basis. Because of my parents, I was taught that real poverty is when one only has money and nothing else. Hence, working-class people are, in a way, very balanced. :cute:

Kind of out of topic, huh?

    Preach!

The working class have to work hard for the basics in life, feeding their children, bills and taxes. We never have a break, just worrying about countless finances!

Also, the current government penalise them through this ridiculous deficit reduction plan
    . I mean, a "bedroom tax"? Seriously?

Yeah, its not entirely nice to think about it every night. After dad suffered from cancer, mum cried herself every night thinking about finances. Knowing that she was unemployed and dad had to retire from his job, it made me feel very bad.
But anyway, some taxes are ridiculous. Fortunately the tax here isn't as bad as other countries (but its still bad).
And wow, a bedroom tax ... Is that like, taxing everyone's bedroom and the bed they sleep on? I've never heard of that!

That's so sad, o.O :'( I'm sorry to hear but see, the worry we have to go through to pay for a system their slashing anyway! But I do agree. At least our healthcare is free! Sort of...

If you have a spare room and you rent a property your housing benefit will get cut. It depends on how many rooms you have, a lot of poor people have been forced to move out because they cannot afford the rent. :-(

Aw its alright. Yeah, your healthcare is free, so at least that's something
Nothing is free here; not even a simple check-up. Fortunately my family members are both general practitioners and specialists so I have the benefit of free check-ups. But really, its hell. People here die because they can't afford the medical costs and doctors' ignorance.
Spare rooms eh. If I lived there in this house, I would probably be kicked out, since we have so many spare rooms.
I hope you don't have to go through all of that though :console::console:

In the UK nobody respects the workers and this snobbery is completely misunderstood by me. In Sweden we glorify the proletariat and ensure their best socio-economic being as they are the majority of society and they are the ones who built the country with their labour power everyday.

In Britain you seem to prefer the bankers, businessmen and other casino investment scum while all they're doing is accumulating the entitlement to commodities that would otherwise be more equally distributed to the general public, who deserves it for they created it in the first place.
I don't think we all do. Certain sections of the media and parts of the elite have done during the last 25 years, but they are starting to regret having done so and the government are at least pretending to be wanting to do something serious about the massive tax-evasion amongst the wealthy and their contempt for the social fabric of Britain.
