You can't do that anymore because of FFP.

So it will be Tottenham Hotspur or Liverpool.
People still think FFP will actually stop sugar daddies?

Liverpool, if they keep Suarez, Coutinho and Sturridge, sign a better left winger and nurture Sterling. And preferably get Skrtel and Reina back to the form that we know they are capable of.

Well football did begin in 1992..
Exactly. All this "EPL" stuff is starting to do my head in.

While I agree with you in general, he just said who would win the next PL, there's nothing wrong with saying that. We're not discounting the titles other teams got. We're basically saying who is going to win the prem next bar the obvious status quo who are in the running for it each season or have won it multiple times under the new format (united, chelsea, city, arsenal)

A fair question but there have been a lot of "best team ever in the EPL" type questions on here recently. Then when Fergie retired "best manager ever in the EPL, won 13 EPL titles".

Even the phrase "EPL" winds me up, it's just an attempt at commercialising the league in the same manner as the NBA, NFL and so on. We don't need to give our league a three lettered acronym just because the Americans do it, it's embarrassing.

To answer the question being asked, I think Liverpool will probably win it. All the foundations are in place but they won't win it under Brendan Rodgers.

EPL doesn't even make sense when there are two welsh based teams, the phrase BPL makes me cringe :facepalm2:

Yeah, liverpool to win it. We'll have to see with rodgers, think he's done a good job so far and they will only get better.

You see managers and pundits alike getting this one in whenever they can now. I'm sure they've been told to do it by Sky.

Alan Pardew is the worst for this.

He's done a good job so far, I think he could get them back into the Champions League but can't see them winning the league unless a serious "big name" manager comes along or they are backed by major investment.

I'm surprised Liverpool haven't been bought by major investors anyway, they're perfect for it. Same with us actually, the catchment area is even bigger for us.

I prefer using the term EPL-Epic Premier League

In my opinion, the 4 most likely next first time winners in my eyes (won't be all of them but just a possibility):

    1) Tottenham Hotspur
    2) Liverpool FC
    3) Everton FC
    4) Newcastle Ben Arfa and Cisse both hinted at it, and they were SERIOUS!!!

Would you take a big investor/megabucks cooperation? Villa would be a great club for it personally, it wouldn't even take too long for you guys to rise, considering you have the foundations for a top 10 team already. It'll be a similar rise to that of city I feel.

No, I don't want it to happen.

I know a couple of City fans and when they won the league last season I asked them to be honest, after dreaming of it for so long, did it feel as good as they thought it would, and they said no.

The reality is that if we were took over tomorrow like City were, once the trophies started coming in we'd all quickly forget about taking the moral high ground and just love the fact we're successful but it'd take any sense of achievement out of it for me.
