the fault in our stars. previously mentioned, but i thought i'd say aswell so you understand how immensely awesome this book is. characters are great, the story is gripping and always makes you want to keep reading no matter what. such a good read and highly recommend it.

If you're into more fantasy style books (like I am ) I cant think of anything better then His Dark Materials by Philip Pullman as a series truly amazing books or, alternatively (but still on the fantasy line) the Elenium series by David Eddings is good

Im assuming you aint read The Day of The Jackal(Frederick Forsyth)then?
I found Fatherland slightly disappointing but the idea of writing a book set in a Europe where Germany have won the War is of course brill.
Anyway,TDOTJ is surely the greatest thriller ever written.

Black Heart Blue is one of the saddest books I've ever read, but it is amazing and makes you so grateful for what you have. It's by Louisa Reid, and about twin girls whose parents are cruel and abusive. They're in Year 12 so in our sort of age group too. Such a powerful book.
