Yeah maths would help both bio and physics.

My head of year and teachers keep pressuring me to make decisions, but I put my foot down. I don't want to go to uni next year, because I might not want to go at all. I'm considering open uni, but I won't make a decisions until I know I am ready to commit to it, and right now I haven't made that decision.
good for you!! yeah i'd stick to your guns but i think uni is a good idea when you know what you want to do =] I'm so stuck right now it's so bad being in this place especially when you friends want to go to stuff like medicine and dentistry =/

Have you guys got your A2 bio text book yet?
My college doesn't hand them out till Sept.

Wow, you've covered a lot already!!
Do you plan to self study during the holidays and did you just pre-read those chapters or did you also make notes on them too?
Yeah I got my textbook last month. The Nelson Thornes one - bought it myself because my school doesn't supply them.

And yep I plan to self study during the holidays - make notes and make sure I know it all.

Yeah mine are the same. Many of my friends are doing medicine, or engineering. I have no idea what I want to do yet. I enjoy biology so I'd probably do something in that. I'm not rushing a decision which will decide my entire future.

I have a few revision guides so I'll probably use them in the holidays.
So that way I'll be familiar with the topics when we come back in September.

Are you going to self study the entirety of unit 4?

Woah! Well done on your determination!

Would you say you was at a great advantage when you learnt the whole AS last summer? I wish I did the same last year!

The essay. There is too much synoptic content and some of the essay questions are irrelevant to the syllabus >.<

If I'm honest, everything is hard.

Unit 4 is pure application.

The hardest bit? Reading their minds and trying to work out what they're wanting you to write in the exam, as opposed to what they're asking -_- Keep the AS units fresh in your mind, you will need to incorporate knowledge from all units in the synoptic essay.

I hate application questions. D:
Does that mean the grade boundaries are low?

Also, any tips for A2 bio?

Unit 4 grade boundaries are low, yeah, but that's because the application questions catch alot of people out!

Tips are to keep up the practice on HSW questions. Go through some past ISA papers because they contain loads of useful HSW questions (particularly section B as you are given data to answer questions on)!

HSW is very important, so yeah do them!

It was quite an advantage. I didn't know everything, but I knew some basic info, which put me ahead of the class before we'd even started. I knew keywords, definitions and some helpful info. So I'm doing the same again this year.
