I'm not getting a remark haha. I was literally 2 UMS in to a B and it might go down. My AS's are fine to apply to basically all the places I want to go anyway (ABBC) and I'm retaking the English lit coursework to bump it up to AABC If I was applying to a bio degree, I'd probably get a remark but I'm going for geography and I got 95% ums in geog so should hopefully be fine! The only reason I'm retaking bio is I want to have a more solid B just in case I get a C in A2(Original post by mollydee)
OCR remark is £38.10,i will rather pay that so that i can apply with at least a better grade than the ABC i got than wait till june next year and retake the biology exam. uhhh bwoy, its gonna be tough cos you will have to re read that extra long and boring biology and then you will still have your A2 exams to do all in that same month. save any money you get,the deadline for submitting the money for remarks is still september 19th. Am sure you will get the money before then. GOODLUCKKKKK.

I guess i'm in a similar situation except i'm applying for medicine with a foundation year as didn't take the right subjects and i got AABC but predicted A*A*A and all my teachers said was to really focus on your personal statement as some use it to say whether you get an interview or not if you're on the borders of the cutoff. And really work for the UKCAT with loads of practices, also it's probs worth talking to your school to ensure the references you want. Although my school didn't seem massively concerned as i have extenuated circumstances so hopefully have a bit of consideration. If i were you i'd avoid Cardiff too as they like A*s at GCSE or so i'm told.
