A university oversubscribed for a course last year I think it was by a good 20 places at least, and they honoured every one of them. Absolutely no way out of it from their point of view unless you've missed something, and you seem sure you haven't.

well rang them turns out they have over filled and didnt expect any people to get the grades. UCAS have assured me i have got the place and i should find out tomorrow at the latest.

    It is Leicester uni

thankyou for all your help guys/girls
If that happens then they try to convince people to defer for a year but if they refuse, they have to accommodate them. They sound like a bunch of ********s.

    Hi please can someone help.

I need to get the grades BBB in a levels for a course I wanted to study in uni, which I got (ABB). The uni rang me saying that they can't accept me as other people have done better. Can they do this?

I have the insurance but I would rather go to my preferred lolocation. Can someone give me advise on how I can deal with this.

    Thank you in advance
Universities can now accept unlimited ABB places , but it's up to the university to still let you onto their course if their nice (but obviously they don't have to) .

~ Good luck and I hope things work out

As others have said, unless things have changed, Universities are legally obliged to accept you. Unless there's some sort of misunderstanding or omission here, as a Leicester student I'm disappointed that they've tried to pull a stunt like this. Name and shame the course/department.
