    I know, this will come off as a stupid question. But someone recently told me that a lot of people think the wrong answer (and I can't believe it's true without asking).

    So please don't post a definition, don't check the definition, just post yes or no based on what you think without answering. I will edit this post in a couple of days to show the answer in a spoiler.

    I'm going to go with "no", but it can go either way depending on semantics.

    Dairy has been used to mean "products from animals that aren't the flesh" rather than just "harvesting milk from animals", although the latter is the "official" definition, I believe.

    I'm an ovo-lacto vegetarian, though, so maybe I'm just hyper-aware of that?

    They go together on food charts, but hell's bells and buckets, eggs are most definitely not dairy.
