God help any girl who wants to conform to traditional gender roles. How dare a woman want to her husband to be the bread-winner while she looks after the home. Disgusting!
Disgrace to womankind for falling for the menz patriarchy.

Probably because most feminists look like this:

So you must be a feminist then?

I can have an opinion, you know, and I just happen to find it a bit overdone and tacky. But all women should have a choice, and ultimately, that is theirs. They were happy to do so.

Anyway, it's not even so much as about being "proper" as it is to do with the issue of objectification. The comment section showcased it rather well.
If women want to be objectified (as in posing naked or for the sun page three) it doesn't affect you.

You can have an opinion, of course, but I dislike how people want to ban page three for petty reasons.

It does, actually, in a very indirect way. People call for the ban of things like Page 3 because it promotes sexualising women in general; not because they have any particular problem with a half nude women or those specific people. It's not personal. It just all ties in with men and women being viewed and treated equally and trying to change attitudes.

I think that's why some feminists get so up in arms about incidents like this - they see it as a step backwards for the movement as a whole, even if those women actively wanted to take part.

Call me old fashioned but anyone stripping naked on a calendar, kind of disturbs me.

Anyway there is plenty of better porn on the web, so even if its for charity, still can't see why people would buy one of these calendars.

I am commenting on the typical feminist hypocrisy of saying they want to liberate women and give them the freedom to choose their own path all the while criticising and insulting women who don't choose the path they agree with. And yes, it's a very common reaction for many feminists.
Not really... the feminists I've come across only ever just want women to be able to have the choice to do what they like, whether that's being a stay-at-home mother or not; they don't want to give them all crew cuts and force them into the legal profession or something. Where have you seen this?

How about "actually being a woman"?
Always being judged on appearances, what they wear and their body?
The media constantly reporting whether Jennifer Celebrity has gained 2lbs or not?
Women not being able to say anything without their appearance being commented on?
T&A in a woman being more important than their personality?
More often than not viewed as a potential piece of meat to sleep with?
People feeling it's okay to make a comment about a female stranger's breasts or arse?
Societal problems with sexual harassment and rape?
Only "attractive" women being deemed worthy of attention?
    Male entitlement to sex?

the funny thing is, page three models consent to the newspaper. Magazines invade celebrities' privacy by taking pictures of them on holiday.

Magazines generate sales and profit, there is still demand for it (i.e. people who want to buy it) so you know you don't have to.

    Generalised views

only a certain subset of the population subscribes into these views. You must notice that some newspapers do this on purpose to create controversy
