People seem to use 'freedom of speech' as a means of rationalising some snarky unneeded comment. What IS freedom of speech? Can we just say anything about anything or is grossly misinterpreted?
Basically there is no freedom of speech because freedom of speech is acceptable until the extent of inciting hatred and of people taking offence, and generally, any negativity that comes out your mouth can be taken offensively
(obviously I'm not talking about mundane things here, but rather debates that evoke strong emotions in people, negative and positive but they have to tread carefully when expressing these so as not to upset people and so there is no freedom of speech)
