Our Lady understands your childish ways Robbie. She spent years looking after Our Lord. I am sure he was a bit of a scamp at times, like you !!

Not sadness my friend, common sense

The world is made up of positive, negative and neutral emotions, you can't just ignore one as that seems a bit looney :erm:

Okay, here it is. Chapter 13. Background: Jesus has just been telling various parables, then he went back to Nazareth:

54 ... and went back to his home town. He taught in the synagogue, and those who heard him were amazed. "Where did he get such wisdom?" they asked. "And what about his miracles?
55 Isn't he the carpenter's son? Isn't Mary his mother, and aren't James, Joseph, Simon and Judas his brothers?
56 Aren't all his sisters living here?
Where did he get all this?"
57 And so they rejected him. Jesus said to them, "A prophet is respected everywhere except in his home town and by his own family."
58 Because they did not have faith, he did not perform many miracles there.

Sorry I'm not trying to be rude, I just think it's an interesting question and if the Catholics think that Mary stayed virgin her whole life I wondered how they explain the passage above.

hmmmm i guess that this passage was inserted later by people with an agenda ? :dontknow:

obviously it is incompatible with the fact that Our Lord was an only child.

That's a shame, I was hoping for something a bit more theological. Ah well.

Remember, you're dealing with christians here, so logical thinking and proof are unlikely to be witnessed
