    Another question...
I know I am a student, but realistically speaking there is only so much you can learn at uni.

My fear is, if I get given a task at my workplace and I can't do it - due to lack of experience, can they shout at me and fire me?

Nobody is going to shout at you or fire you

From my experience, people were very helpful and more than willing to help interns if they had any problems.

    Thanks for the reassurance

It is going to be the first time I am working in an office...

I know that I will be a rusty on some tasks and that was the fear I had - in the case of getting fired or told off.

    Would they give you training?

No problem, it was the same for me.

Most companies do have training for interns, and actually that's a good question to ask during the interview.

Yeah you can ask them about what kind of training do they provide for interns, opportunities to work with different teams etc etc.

    Thanks.

Is it worth asking the following question:
Do you have any doubts or concerns about me or my ability to perform in this role?

Do not ask that question - that shows your lack of confidence and that's the last thing you want to show.

Really? Wow, its a good thing I never asked that question then.

Now I have a good question for you. Based on the following scenario, what are my chances of getting the job, assuming I am against one other candidate... At the interview, 75%-80% of the time was based on explaining a project that would save them time and money. They explained to me all the major problems and so on and so worth, and only asked me a few questions. It wasn't your standard interview questions like 'what are your strengths or weaknesses?' or 'why should we hire you?' They were sort of joking around a lot and when I did ask them how it went, they did say some minor mistakes I made in the interview. But will it ultimately cost me the job as they did give me some tips but then said that it was good of me to ask for clarification?
